Analyse current usage

Tool/Section: Azure Cost Management and Billing

Instructions:

  • Log in to the Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com)
  • Navigate to the Azure Cost Management and Billing blade.
  • View your current usage and cost data by selecting the appropriate date range and cost data type.
  • Use the Azure Advisor (https://portal.azure.com/#view/Microsoft_Azure_Expert/AdvisorMenuBlade/~/overview) to identify underutilised resources that can be optimised or decommissioned.

Right-size resources

Tool/Section: Azure Virtual Machines

Instructions:

  • Log in to the Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com)
  • Navigate to the Azure Virtual Machines blade.

Automate resource allocation
