Are You Ready?
Microsoft Licensing is Changing in 2025
From 1 November 2025, Microsoft is introducing a new pricing model for Online Services.
Customers on Enterprise Agreements (EAs), MPSA and OSPA contracts will move to a single price point aligned with Microsoft.com. This means volume discounts will no longer apply, pricing will be consistent but less flexible and careful planning will be critical to avoid overspend.
What’s Changing?
EA and MPSA agreements use tiered price levels (B, C, D) that reduce costs for larger organisations.
These levels will be removed. Every licence will be priced at Level A, the Microsoft.com list price.
What stays the same?
On-premises software, government, and education pricing frameworks. The update takes effect at your next renewal or when adding new Online Services not listed on your current price sheet.
Why Does it Matter for Your Renewal?
Industry projections suggest 6 to 12 percent cost increases for many organisations
Larger enterprises will feel the biggest impact as scale-based discounts disappear
While pricing becomes simpler and more transparent, accurate planning becomes essential
Organisations must focus on usage, licence value, and commercial model choice
EA vs CSP – Which is Right for You?
With EA and CSP pricing now aligned, your decision is about strategy, not just cost.
